Tuesday

Tuesdays are good days. My classes always seem to settle down quicker, more students turn in homework assignments. Fewer kids cheat. The weather is cooler and my hair looks nice.

Tuesdays are better than Mondays.

The Kingdom

Shameless movie promo - Dave and I went to see the Kingdom on Saturday. I was duelly surprised and intrigued at the ability of the director and producers to accurately demonstrate the ambivalence that pervades our world. I walked out feeling like I had just watched a "day in the life" documentary - not necessarily a "hollywoodized" terrorism propaganda flick. I appreciated the artistic license needed to create and display a less-biased view of both Western Culture and Middle Eastern culture. You know how sometimes when the plot is full of action the characters aren't developed enough? Not so in the film. I really felt like I had enough personal connection with the characters that I wanted them to succeed in their endeavor. I am not a crier, but I did cry during the first fifteen minutes of the film. A+ on my scale. Go watch it and tell me what you think.
